CJ McMillan quite literally grew up around Front Range Airport, spending time in his father’s hangar while helping him work on his Yak 52. He rediscovered his passion for aviation when he began flying at age 20 with his father, a United Airlines pilot, and has been accelerating through his training and education with juggernaut-like speed ever since. CJ McMillan earned his private pilot license in 2013 and in 2016 obtained his instrument rating, commercial license and multi-engine rating. After graduating from Metro State University of Denver (MSU) in August 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology with a Professional Pilot Emphasis and Minor in Business Management. He also completed an internship with United Airlines.
CJ McMillan is a regular volunteer at the Rocky Mountain Airshows and several other airshows throughout the year. He is also a member of the Red Star Pilot’s Association and is currently in aerobatics and formation flying training. CJ McMillan is truly passionate about sharing his knowledge as a flight instructor and may be the kindest and most patient instructor we know.
